Live Video for Instagram Stories Going Global Instagram announced live video for Instagram Stories last November and began rolling the feature out in the U.S. the following month. Now, it is available globally.
Google’s Mobile-First Index Google is rolling out a new mobile-first index. This means Google will create and rank its search listings based on the mobile version of content, even for listings that are shown to desktop users.
YouTube gains access to Google account data for ad targeting, teases new measurement solution “Ads on YouTube will now be able to use data such as demographic and search behavior information from users signed-into Google. As an example, a retailer could show a user that searches for a winter coat an ad on Google and then target that same user with ads when they are on YouTube.”…“Like Facebook, Twitter and others, Google will be relying more on signed-in user IDs and mobile identifiers, rather than cookies”
Google Blocked 1.7 Billion Bad Ads Last Year Google claims to have blocked over 1.7 billion fraudulent ads last year. Most of these ads had evaded detection through Google platforms and are now calling for a complex quality assurance processes to reduce ad-fraud numbers.
